Benches with Attachments

If you are searching for a basic bench, which does not incline/decline, nor has attachments for legs or arms, then this would be the section for you!

The competition is fierce in this segment and the prices comparable across brands.

Powerblock Sport Bench ($259) + 2 possible attachments

workout bench with attachment
workout bench with chin-up bar
workout bench with dip station

With an adjustable bench that has a slight decline, up to vertical, attaching a chin-up bar and/or dip station turns your bench practically into a power tower! Both attachments use the same attachment point, so only one can be used at a time. Before even adding dumbbells you can work your lats, biceps, delts, shoulders, chest, and triceps.

Our biggest concern is the width of the rear, dual wide-set legs when doing chin-ups. Be careful not to swing too much from side to side!

  • Dimensions: Ergonomic. 50″L 21″W (seat) x 16″H
  • Capacity: 550 lb.
  • Positions: Flat, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90° (military position)

    • Dip ($79)

Flybird Fitness Adjustable Workout Bench FB149 ($149.99)

This review is based on the newer 2022 model where they addressed the height issues. Reduced to 18.8″ puts it more in range with the other benches on this page.

Made with Faux leather and allow steel, this foldable adjustable bench can handle weight up to 800 lb. Seeing as we reviewed flat benches that had trouble at this weight, the Flybird FB149 is great for those that wish to fold it up and put it away when not in use. There are many adjustments to get it set up and ready for your workout.

There are compromises with a foldable bench like this. If you are pushing really heavy weights, you may wish to pick a more sturdy model. It’s not that we don’t think this is a great bench, it’s that there will still be a bit of a wobble with the less than robust metal tubing, less flat feet, and the overall folding concept. But for average use under decent load (it is rated to 800 lb!), you still have a wonderful, foldable bench that is also adjustable.

  • Dimensions: 49.2″L x 15.7″W x 18.8″H
    • Folds down to: 30.3″L x 16″W x 9″H – 9″H thick!!
  • Positions: 7 back positions. 3 seat positions. 21 total possible configurations.
  • Attachments: Leg attachment for declines. 2 foot pad positions.
  • Capacity: 800 lb.
  • Warranty: 1 year on frame.

Powerblock Travel Bench ($179)

Fold out the legs and perform a wide variety of exercises anywhere. When finished, it’s easy to slide it under a bed or place in a closet. The sturdy design makes this a reliable and versatile piece of equipment, while a durable powder-coated finish and vinyl top resist wear.

  • Dimensions: 40″L x 9.5″W x 15″H
  • Capacity: 500 lb.
  • Folds to 8″ thick
